Role at NECWEI
The Welfare and Educational Institutions Employers Association (WEIEA) is a recognized employer body that forms an integral part of the National Employment Council for Welfare and Educational Institutions (NECWEI).
Our role includes:
- Representation: Advocating for employers in conciliation, arbitration, and labour court processes.
- Collective Bargaining: Participating in industry-wide negotiations to set fair conditions of employment.
- Wage Negotiations & Exemptions: Ensuring employer interests are protected in salary discussions, exemptions, and retrenchment processes.
- Labour Advisory: Providing guidance on labour laws, HR practices, and compliance matters.
- Training & Capacity Building: Organizing seminars, workshops, and awareness programs for employers across the sector.
Through NECWEI, we help shape fair labour practices while safeguarding the rights and interests of all employers in welfare and educational institutions.
